13 Aban is marked as "The Day of Fighting Arrogance" by the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is the day when Iranian students captured the American Embassy and took the American spies in it as hostages. The Den of Espionage was seized and tons of documents and other material were retrieved that showed that America was conspiring against the new-born Islamic Republic. A plot was being hatched to topple the Islamic System. It is a known fact that the embassies of the United States of America serve as the Den of Espionage in several other countries as well.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, in his speech on Nov 3, 2020 hailed the bold initiative taken by the Iranian students back in Nov 1979.
