Let’s bulldoze some houses

We are living in a time of perennial, fast-paced change. The state of humanity and the world today is the result of an accumulation of historical changes and technological advances. Over the course of history, human beings have been able to develop terminologies and in the contemporary era, we are witnessing history as the meaning of those terminologies evolve and develop. The “best” part is that the context of the meaning that is being defined by the actors who are performing the action. As it turns out, humans have been mistaken throughout. The reason behind this is that they didn’t know the true meanings of the expressions when they were coming up with those terms.

Take, for example, the word “terrorism”, one of the most oft-used terms in the 21st century. It was coined during the French Revolution. At that time it referred to when an entity – state or militia group, exerts force and violence in order to achieve the desired goals. Many people were mistaken because of this definition since it meant the weak got oppressed by the corrupt. In the case of Palestine, this word has been redefined. Whereas other terrorists use lethal weapons, in the case of Palestine the terrorists are children. How is this so? Even though Palestinian children don’t have weapons, their mere existence in this world, in their homeland, is an act of terrorism. That is what Zionist MP, Ayelet Shaked, believes:

“They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists,”

Shaked said, adding, “They are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists.”

On another occasion, she said:

Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.

According to the new definition of terrorism, she believes even a Palestinian woman should be killed because she will give birth to a Palestinian baby, who is, by default, a terrorist.

Invasion is another term that has been redefined. According to the new definition, of course set by the Zionist entity, people living in their own homes, minding their own business, can be considered as invaders conducting an invasion. The Zionist entity believes that Palestinians are invaders, despite the fact that they were inhabiting the land before the rapid influx of Ashkenazi Jews in the early 20th century. Therefore, according to Zionist logic, since Palestinians are invaders, they should be kicked out of their own homes and dispossessed of their land in order to make way for Jewish settlements. The number of new settlements approve by the modern-day by this illegitimate entity occupying Palestinian land is 900. That means 900 families must and will be dispossessed of their homes.

The world today is witnessing the slow, but inevitable extinction of Palestine. The unfortunate reality is that it refuses to condemn the culprits. The Zionist robbery and usurpation of Palestinian land is open and blatant, and must be condemned. Western support and global silence are the reasons the Zionist entity is literally getting away with murder. The United States government has been the staunchest supporter of this occupation and consistently maintains the Zionist entity’s right to invade, pillage, plunder, and kill. A newly approved bill has left me shocked, not because it enables the Zionists to occupy more land and build more settlements, but because of the subsequent and unforgiveable silence of Human Rights Watch, the United Nations and other apparently independent organizations claiming to stand up for the weak and oppressed. The least we can do in the face of ongoing Zionist brutality is to become aware and make others aware of what is happening. We must RISE against inhumane crimes against the oppressed, RISE against imperialism, and RISE against American and Zionist hegemony.
