Today is the twelfth day of Muharram. It is the martyrdom of Imam Sajjad (A) – according to some sources – and it is undoubtedly the day when the Zaynabi and Sajjadi uprising began. In other words, Ashura was an uprising staged by Imam Husayn (A), but the events occurring subsequently were, in fact, an uprising staged by lady Zaynab (A).
