Fear and grief are two grave maladies for a nation, a group, and a human being. Fear and grief are two great calamities, but these two calamities can be eliminated with this Qur’anic announcement: “And they (the martyrs) are happy regarding those [Mo’mineen] who have been left behind [and] haven’t yet joined them; there is no fear upon them and they will not grieve.” [Qur’an 3:170].
